Exoplanet discovered robotic system.
An international team of astronomers has discovered hyperlogical (one of the most sparse of the famous scientists) planet outside the Solar system.
The study is published on the website arXiv.org.
Celestial body HD 93396b (KELT-11b) rotates around subgiant HD 93396 (KELT-11) at a distance of 320 light years from Earth. The exoplanet radius greater than the radius of Jupiter to 1.37 times, but KELT-11b easier this planet five times. This makes it the third least dense of the known exoplanets. The orbital period of a celestial body around the sun is estimated at 4.7 days, its surface temperature is equal to 1.7 thousand Kelvin.
Exoplanet discovered by the transit method robotic system KELT (Kilodegree Extremely Little Telescope), consisting of two telescopes. One is located in Arizona, the other in South Africa. The observation of the signal from the HD 93396b took place over seven hours.
The transit method is based on measuring the brightness of stars when passing it to the disk of the planet, which obscures the observer of the radiation from the sun. Knowing the photometric characteristics of luminaries until the passage of the planet (transit) between it and the observer and after their difference to estimate the size of the planet.
