An international group of scientists has discovered a new dwarf planet located beyond the orbit of Neptune.
The international astronomical Union (IAU) named the planet RR245 2015. This is a temporary name until scientists will not find a better name. Dwarf planet away from the Sun at a distance of 120 times greater than the Earth. Its diameter is about 700 km.
The researchers of the project Outer Solar System Origins Survey (OSSOS), who discovered the planet, claimed that to date they have managed to identify about 500 TRANS-Neptunian objects. However RR245 2015 is the largest opening OSSOS today.
