Scientists first saw the clash of newborn planets

Ученые впервые увидели столкновение новорожденных планетEuropean astronomers have found three rare properties of young stars, they are in the constellation of the Chameleon, Scorpion and Wolf.

Around them are active processes of planetamazon who were able to observe and scientists.

The age of the detected stars can be attributed to the class of “babies”. Therefore, at a relatively close distance from them formed a new planet. The heavenly bodies are born from disks of gas and dust, they are surrounded by young stars. Small dust particles collide with each other, forming the so-called kom. This dust mass is constantly increasing until it reaches the size of the planet.

Processes planyourvisit still poorly studied by scientists, so astronomers were excited when we found three young stars with dust disks. For the heavenly luminaries RX J1615, HD 97048 and HD 135344B was observed with a powerful telescope VLT. This unit is part of Paranal Observatory in Chile. The telescope built into the instrument SPHERE, it is designed for observation of exoplanets and their formation.

In the course of its work, the scientists were able to observe the collision of a separate major bodies in gas-dust disk. The study of these processes, say the astronomers, will help to open many secrets of the cosmos.
