The number of Earth-threatening asteroids increased to 15 thousand.
Every year scientists find new asteroids that can threaten Earth. Three years ago, they totaled 10 thousand.
Now the number has increased by 50% and reached 15 thousand.
The media periodically report, another celestial body, dangerously approached the Ground, safely passed its orbit. That’s good news.
But keep in mind the fact that large celestial bodies in a collision with Earth can bring about substantial damage becomes greater, and the likelihood of future clashes, albeit is relatively low, is increasing all the time.
Some of the already discovered asteroids have such dimensions that the collision to the Ground can cause for it and, accordingly, people are just disastrous.
So astronomers around the world are constantly monitoring space, which is located relatively close to the planet, revealing new cosmic Wanderers and examining the behavior of the already known.
Subject to timely receipt of data on a possible disaster, the data obtained by researchers interplanetary space, will help to minimize the consequences of collisions.
