Russian and Norwegian drillers began developing oil fields in the sea of Okhotsk

Rosneft and Statoil started drilling exploration well in the Okhotsk sea. And it happened a year earlier than envisaged obligations.

Start to work was given by the President of the Russian company Igor Sechin. Drilling is carried out by setting Chinese partners in the area, “Lisyansky”. This is four hundred twenty kilometers from Magadan. In the same year, in the framework of the joint project will be drilled another hole in the perimeter of the site Magadan-1″, all in the same place — in the sea of Okhotsk.

A cooperation agreement Rosneft and Statoil signed in 2012, recalls channel “Russia 24”. In the framework of the project companies established a joint venture, the complex of exploration work and carried out all engineering-geological surveys.
