The shortage of gasoline can occur in Russia. Such fears expressed by the representatives of the Federal Antimonopoly service. According to FAS, the shortage of petroleum products may occur due to the transition of refineries to the production of gasoline “Euro-5”.
Under the new regulations, the refinery must operate from July 1 this year. However, as feared in the anti-monopoly service, the oil will not have time to modernize their plants. In this regard, FAS has sent the Government a proposal to save the turnover of gasoline environmental class “Euro-4” at least until the end of the year, reports IA “SeverInform” with reference to “Izvestia”.
We note, initially, the transition of the Russian refineries to Euro-5 was to take place and did from the beginning of 2016. But in the spring of 2015, were against the oilers and then the FAS.
Additionally, according to the service, last year the price of gasoline in Russia grew by more than 5%.
