The growth of a dinosaur, who left a 1.2-metre track, presumably was about 15 meters.
Huge footprint of a dinosaur found in Bolivia, has about 1.2 meters in diameter.
The discovery was made by Bolivian paleontologist named Omar Medina. According to him, the trail belongs to the representative of the family of abelisaurid, and probably, the animal left him about 80 million years ago. It is assumed that the dinosaur was carnivorous, and its growth was of the order of 15 meters.
Medina notes that the footprint diameter of 1.2 meters is one of the largest footprints ever found in South America. Paleontologist Sebastian Apesteguia, checks the authenticity of the track, confirmed this statement. According to him, the growth of other carnivorous dinosaurs that lived in South America at the same time as the owner of the track was approximately 9 meters.
