The state will allocate from the Federal budget 137,7 billion roubles this year on supporting brands within the anti-crisis plan. This was stated by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, reports TASS.

“We will continue to support industries that were in the risk zone”, — he added. In particular, 10 billion rubles will receive in aid from the state in the field of transport and agricultural machinery.

The President added that the Russian authorities are considering engineering as one of the drivers of the domestic economy. “[This] is a sector with enormous export potential, which can become a symbol of national success and technological leadership of Russia”, — Putin said.

Car sales in Russia fall for the fourth consecutive year. Against this background, the plants reduce the number of shifts, volume of production and gathering in the country foreign brands represented in domestic market lineup. Three months of 2016, according to the Association of European businesses, sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles fell 17 percent, to 319 thousand pieces.

At the end of last year, the Minister of industry and trade of Russia Denis Manturov said that the government has taken the decision to continue programs of support of demand in the automobile market in the first half of 2016.
