The wait is over for many fans of the Pokemon Go in Asia, after the game was released in 15 new countries on the continent.
Full list of new countries: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Solomon Islands, federated States of Micronesia and Palau.
A significant expansion in Asia was expected, but three obvious countries are not included in the list – India, Korea and China. In the case of India, where smartphone sales are growing every year, among its 1.2 billion population, it is unclear what prevents the developers to run the game in this country. Pokemon Go was originally launched in the US on 6 July, then in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and later in Europe. In Japan, the “house” of pokémon, the first run happened on July 21. He also began to work in Brazil, where currently the Olympic games, and the developers have more plans for Latin America.
The game has already crossed the mark of 100 million downloads and this is only the beginning.
