This year Russian regions will continue to receive financial support from the state, which will implement a program to assist the voluntary resettlement to Russia of compatriots living and working abroad. As announced on 23 March the press service of the government, such measures between 59 regions allocated subsidies – 200 million rubles.

On the idea of the Cabinet of Ministers, the resettlement program will allow you to create all necessary conditions for work in Russia of compatriots and in General will strengthen the employment potential of subjects of the Russian Federation. The highest material support in this plan will receive the Voronezh region is 15.8 million rubles, and the most modest – Nenets Autonomous Okrug (110 thousand).

In 2015 the regions that participate in the program, was less than five pieces – 54. Total amount of subsidies for identified need was less than 20 million – 180 million. The leader by the amount of financial support was Kaluga oblast (13.2 million rubles). Voronezh region stood in third place.

The assistance in voluntary resettlement of compatriots from abroad to Russia to the Federal migration service is considered a priority to improve its policy (office supervises this direction). As noticed the head of the FMS Konstantin Romodanovsky, the main task of authorities is to help those who have already decided to return but due to some reasons, including financial, still can’t.

The state program on assisting voluntary resettlement in Russia of compatriots living abroad was adopted in 2006. Such, according to the law, are all Russians living in other States, those who live in the countries of the former USSR or became stateless persons in these States as well as immigrants from Russia and the USSR and their descendants. Participants of the resettlement program and their families receive social support – they pay for relocation to relocate, compensate expenses on state duty and pay “lifting”, i.e. the allowance.
