Found the ship on which James cook set sail around the world.
The researchers found off the coast of the U.S. state of Rhode island and the sunken ship, which, they believe, made his first voyage around the world Explorer James cook.
It is reported that near the place of the endeavour – the ship’s cook – were found fragments of another five vessels of the same time.
It is noted that the ship sank during a storm in Rhode island in 1778 during the war for independence. After committing cook travel, his ship was renamed and he participated in the blockade of the coast.
First voyage around the world James cook made in the years 1768-1771, his goal was the search for the so-called southern continent. During this expedition, cook proved that New Zealand consists of two Islands, and surveyed part of the coast of Australia.
