With the help of the HiRISE camera orbiting Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter managed to capture the landscape, reported on the Agency’s website.
Unusual hills that look like they were cut with something sharp, found in the area of Medusae Fossae. The analysis showed that the rocks consist of soft fine-grained rocks which are easily eroded.
What there was found no boulders or debris, which means rocks composed of sediments of fine granules, which could occur after the sedimentation of volcanic ash.
