Experts have compiled a unique list of substances that can cause addiction and death of the human brain.
The researchers argue that many drugs used in the treatment of patients, may cause dependence in men and women. David Nutt, together with the group of academics asked experts from other clinical centers to make a separate list of substances that contribute to the development of addiction.
First position, according to the researchers, is given to the nicotine. This component is the most powerful on the degree of addiction. Second place is cocaine. Doctors say that this drug interferes with the normal work of the brain of men and women.
The third position is established for alcoholic beverages. Alcohol has a negative effect on the Central nervous system of people. The more alcohol people consume, the higher the level of dopamine produced. Fourth place is heroin, which leads to death. Fifth position has been secured for sedative, inducing a state of euphoria in humans.
In the future, the researchers plan to implement additional surveillance to confirm their hypotheses.
