Dismissal will be held around the world.
Microsoft Corp. plans to cut another 850 2 jobs within 12 months as part of the restructuring of the divisions engaged in production of smartphones.
“In addition to the elimination of 1,850 positions, which was announced in may 2016, approximately 2 850 jobs worldwide will be cut during the year in the framework of the previously announced plan, and it is expected that these actions will be completed by the end of the 2017 financial year,” – said in a statement.
For Microsoft the 2017 financial year began on 1 July 2016 and conclude on 30 June 2017.
The company noted that 900 people from the global sales Department has already been dismissed. The other cuts will affect jobs in the field sales organization and in the division on manufacture of mobile phones.
At the end of the last financial year (30 June 2016) in the state of Microsoft, there were about 114 million employees working full-time.
