Media: Kekhman filed a private lawsuit on the recognition of bankruptcy

General Director of the Mikhailovsky theatre and Novosibirsk Opera and ballet theatre Vladimir Kekhman filed a lawsuit on the recognition of his bankruptcy, which was made by the court of London, writes “Kommersant”.

It is noted that this decision Kekhman took to avoid possible restrictive measures connected with procedure of bankruptcy that was previously started by Sberbank. If the court finds the decision made in London, the second bankruptcy would be illegal.

In case of Declaration of bankruptcy the businessman could face a ban on travel abroad and to participate in the management of legal persons, which are theatrical institutions.

According to sources in power structures, in the near future Kekhman will be indicted in the final version.

Earlier it was reported that Kekhman in the framework of the case about its bankruptcy as individuals were asked to postpone the first meeting of creditors. He is motivated by the fact that the court has not yet finished to consider all claims submitted to it by the lenders and they are not yet included in the registry. Arbitration of St. Petersburg granted the request of “banana king”.
