President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko gave instructions to the officials of the country to buy official cars of the domestic production. The exception is the head of state was made only for myself, the Prime Minister, his deputies and other senior officials. On Thursday, 7 April, BelTA has learnt.
“No imports for officials, besides the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers and the highest officials”, — said the President.
This instruction Lukashenko gave the exhibition of products of machine-building enterprises of the Republic, which was presented to planned passenger car of the Executive class. The President liked the novelty, he made a comment about having to purchase domestic cars. “You have to buy their cars, the more they are two times cheaper than German,” he said.
The President noted that the replacement of service vehicle fleet should be made gradually. Lukashenko instructed to estimate the required number of cars for government officials from the level of the Chairman of district Executive committees to Ministers.
In August 2015 Lukashenko of the Republic of privalged to buy domestically produced goods and to relax at home. The head of state stressed the importance of supporting national manufacturer in a difficult, in his opinion, the time. “Let’s live on that in our stores there, and rest for these years in Belarus. Won’t take currency,” Lukashenka noted.
In 2015, the Republic’s economy showed signs of stagnation. At the end of the same year, the Russian government has granted Minsk a loan in the amount of 760 million dollars. It is reported that the money had been granted for 10 years in rubles.
