Iran will consider a proposal of Ukraine on the possible transit of Iranian oil through the Ukrainian oil pipeline system in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, said the Minister of oil of Iran Bijan Zanganeh. As the “Interfax-Ukraine”, a statement he made yesterday following talks in Tehran with the head of Minenergougol of Ukraine Igor Nasalik.
According to the Ministry of petroleum of Iran, Tehran is also ready to start cooperation on oil supplies directly to Ukraine, despite the fact that Ukrainian refining capacity is insignificant and the country imports petroleum products.
Iranian IRNA edition and Shana also said that Kiev offers to Tehran to consider the possibility of Iranian gas transit through Ukrainian territory.
Zanganeh noted that Ukraine is attractive for Iran and its developed power engineering sector, currently the parties are working on cooperation in the field of gas turbines and gas compressors.
