Company Intertelekom” (Giraffe), together with Ericsson and Huawei held the first in Ukraine to test the technology of the fourth generation – LTE TDD in the range of 2300 MHz.
According to a press release, “Intertelecom”, tested the maximum speed of radio interface, voice and video calls, and view high quality videos from the Internet in real time on multiple terminals simultaneously.
“The test was able to achieve peak download speeds of 220 Mbps. it Should be noted that the maximum theoretically possible speed, subject to the combination of carrier 20 MHz+20 MHz in the 2300 MHz range may amount to 224 Mbit/s”, – reported in a press release.
During testing was also carried out voice calls from the LTE smartphone to another smartphone LTE on GSM mobile phone network of one of Ukrainian mobile operators and fixed telephone.
The company stressed that the LTE TDD standard at the present time there are 77 commercial networks in 43 countries.
