In October the market was in General 9,167 passenger vehicles, while 34% were in preowned.
The proportion of primary registrations of used passenger cars in September-October 2016 reached 30% of the total registration of passenger cars in Ukraine for this period (new and used), whereas for the previous eight months, it amounted to 10%.
This was reported in Association Ukrautoprom.
It is noted that growth of primary registrations of used cars due to effect from August 1, changes to the Tax code, which is valid for three years significantly reduced the excise duty on such cars (assuming importation of one vehicle in a year not older than 2010).
According to the Association, in October in the primary market was generally 9,167 passenger vehicles, with 34% (3,094 thousand units) accounted for preowned. Compared to October last year, the primary market for the car second-hand in this segment grew 82%, and by September of the current by 13%.
Among the used cars of the brand leaders in October, the same as a month earlier – Volkswagen (564 units), Renault (545 units), Skoda (340 units).
In General, the primary market in October was 11,204 thousand motor vehicles (including commercial vehicles and buses), including the share used was 38% (4,272 thousand units)
In the segment of commercial vehicles, where used cars traditionally dominate in October was 1,163 thousand units of used machinery (62% of the total registration of commercial vehicles), which is 25% higher than in September of the current year, but 25% less than in October last.
In the bus segment, the total number of initial registrations in October totaled 155 units, of which 15 units – buses with mileage. The market of used buses decreased by 85% compared to October of last year, but grew by 36% compared to September.
The Renault brand maintained its leading position in the commercial segment (244 units) and Mercedes-Benz bus (8 units).
