Game Forest Song based on “Lavoy pisni”.
American company Colabee Studios from Seattle created a game Forest Song. It is based on the famous work by Lesja Ukrainka drama-extravaganza “Lisova song”.
In Forest Song, the player is reincarnated into a peasant who meets a Forest Spirit. This gives the player a completely unfamiliar world, where in a dramatic collision of supernatural forces converge forests and people. “The Forest Song offers players a unique opportunity to explore a fantastic new world, inspired and inspired by the traditions of the old world,” reports the description of the game.
To recreate the cultural features in the game, the developers came to Ukraine to Volyn, where Lesja Ukrainka.
“The mission of our visit was to deepen the understanding of past, present and future of people living in the region, as well as to hold meetings with experts of culture and traditions first hand”, – quotes the developers Vidia.
Colabee Studios is an international team of game developers founded by Dima Rope and Shawn the Weight. Team of renowned game Never Alone, which reveals the culture of one of the indigenous peoples of Alaska – Inupiat. The game received a BAFTA for the best debut of 2015.
