The real identity of the mummy, like Vincent van Gogh, will be installed in the coming months.
In the Spanish Cathedral of the assumption of the virgin Mary, scientists have discovered more than thirty mummified bodies.
The face of one of the mummies is very similar to the face of van Gogh.
People with the appearance of van Gogh died in the end of XVIII century at the age of about forty years. Scientists suggest that he died from the disease – fever, cholera or smallpox. Archaeologists hope to find out soon the name “van Gogh”, and then find out all the details of his life.
In addition to this mummy, in the Church there were found also the bodies of the eleven adults and twenty four children. Some of the dead were in the wrong clothes.
