In the Netherlands, will create the world’s first farm afloat

In the Dutch Rotterdam will be built floating dairy farm. Farm with 60 cows will stay on the water, which is the world’s first such experiment.

Each cow bude about 50 square meters, it exceeds the space the greater part of the ground-based dairy farms. Food for animals will grow immediately on a floating farm.

Expected to experts, this project can significantly reduce the deleterious effect of commercial livestock production on the environment. In addition, thanks to the floating farm, it will be possible to understand the extent to which in the future can become self-sufficient.

Also note that on the floating farm tours will be conducted for students and children, which will positively contribute to the rapprochement of consumers and producers of dairy products.
