The Russian government intends to block calls citizens through the Internet to landlines and mobile phones.
The Ministry of communications wish to amend the existing legislation, thereby to prohibit the Russians to make calls with Skype, Viber and WhatsApp on mobile phones.
The Agency commented that nothing like this will happen.
The Ministry of communications and mass communications of the Russian Federation intend to make amendments to the existing legislation, after which users Skype, Viber and WhatsApp and some other services will not be able to call mobile and landline numbers.
There is a speech about introduction of amendments to decree No. 161, in the new version all operators to transmit voice data VoIP operators are excluded from the list of entities that may be eligible to join the local, zonal and other types of telephone networks.
Thus, users of these services will not be able to call, in turn, gets banned and opportunity to make a connection from landline to Skype numbers. In addition, all the advanced applications used by modern people in Russia, will lose its former popularity.
The communications Ministry did not give comments on the events, was only given the answer that in any way the work of VoIP-operators will not break.
