Archaeologists found the Palace of king Solomon in Gezer.
The ruins of a huge Palace, Dating from the X century BC, discovered in Israel in the course of excavations on the site of the ancient city of Gezer, located between Jerusalem and tel Aviv.
According to archaeologists, the location and the huge size of the Palace point to its possible membership of the legendary biblical king Solomon.
Studies of the Dating of the building showed that its creation belongs to the tenth century before Christ, when Israel’s rules of the legendary king Solomon. In the course of excavations discovered the ancient artifacts: Philistine pottery, figurines of the goddess of Ashdod and amulets, as well as a baby rattle.
According to participating in the excavations of Professor Ortiz, a lack of a large number of artifacts in the ruins suggests that the ancient inhabitants knew about the impending attack and managed to evacuate were in the Palace of values to another location.
According to historians, the temple of Solomon was destroyed in 925 BC in the attack on Gezer Egyptian Pharaoh Shishak (Shoshenq, Susakim).
