Hundreds of people in Iraq were poisoned by toxic gases after burning chemical plant in the vicinity of Mosul. The us military reported that plant earlier this week was set on fire by the retreating of the city, the militants of the “Islamic state”.
October 21 soldiers at a military base near Mosul were forced to wear masks because the wind blew off a cloud of toxic gas in their direction.
According to the Iraqi General Hamid Bite Kadim, two persons from among civilians died from poisoning.
Victims complain of breathing difficulties. Physicians provide them with necessary assistance.
The Iraqi military on 17 October launched an operation to liberate Mosul from the militants groups “Islamic state”. 22 October, Iraqi troops entered the city Curados, which is located 32 km South of Mosul, the main ISIS stronghold in the country.
For the last two days, the militants tried to seize the city of Kirkuk, located 170 km South-East of Mosul. During the fighting in the city killed 35 people.
