The find was made in one of the southern districts of Jutland.
In Jutland (southern Denmark) archeologists-fans have found a gold treasure of the Viking age.
Found 7 bracelets, one of which is silver, and all the others made of gold. These decorations date back 900 years. The treasure is already known as one of the largest discoveries in the history of Denmark.
The uniqueness lies in the fact that the Vikings almost all the decorations were made of silver and gold just a little decorated ware. A specialist in the Viking age in the National Museum of Copenhagen Peter Penz says: “the Gold at that time was a rarity. For us even one found the bracelet was unique. What can we say about seven?”.
More than a hundred years ago, in places where the data were carried out excavations, they found a gold chain. Between her and one of the bracelets, scientists have found very similar characteristics, perhaps they have some connection: owned by the same owner or has been made in one place.
Archaeologists themselves not just to believe in how they find real. They didn’t expect to find such important gold treasure.
