Tesla has promised to create a full autopilot with a supercomputer.
Tesla adds autopilot systems in all their cars, but they will not yet be activated.
The company Tesla announced on 20 October that the hardware that is installed on all new vehicles, making them capable of full autonomy. However, the company will not activate this functionality, yet the software will not be permitted for use after testing.
“We are pleased to announce that from today, all Tesla cars, which are produced in our factory, including the Model 3 will be equipped with necessary equipment for full self-government on a much safer level than the management of man”, – stated in the message.
New equipment includes eight cameras, providing a 360-degree angle around the vehicle at a distance of 250 metres as well as 12 advanced ultrasonic sensors that allow you to see hard and soft objects at a distance is almost twice more than in previous versions.
In addition, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said during a conference call with reporters that the new vehicles in a fully Autonomous mode, will be much safer than those driven by people.
