Gennady Gudkov. Feast in the time of cholera or 100 years of “Hopelessness”.

Геннадий Гудков. Пир во время чумы, или 100 лет "Безнадёги".

Wonderful, clear and ruthless story of Mary London, civil position and professional skill which I have long admired. I have no censorship of words, (that’s the power of Russian obscenities!) to Express their attitude to what they saw and heard:

You know, dear fellow citizens, what is the worst thing in this story of blatant injustice going on in our Russia?!

The fact that almost all of those people with the screaming kids in humiliating queues against the backdrop of crumbling clinics, is actually support and “reliable” power. The same one that robs them of years and has long been mired in shameless carousing and astounding luxury.

Tomorrow these poor crowd will go and vote again “as expected” and as ordered: for “United Russia”, for its candidates, which they even know do not know, in short, to all this mess went on forever. And then again years will push and cuss each other’s lines, to gray and dull existence, consider a penny, “the bitter drink” and justify themselves with the fact that nothing in the country cannot be changed.

Of course not, especially if not even try to do so. So who then is to blame for the fact that looted the country “locusts” continues to amaze the people burning billions on palaces, yachts, jewelry and collectible wine, ate caviar?! Who is guilty that in a poor country in the midst of crisis, when millions are starving and unable to provide for their children the necessities, authoritative men firmly mired in outrageous and deliberate public nights for the price of the annual budget of the whole city? All slaves endure. And in fact suffer, because the… slaves!

“The feast during the plague” – better than great I won’t tell you about the current Russian government “lost coast” from their impunity and lack of control. And live 100 years without hope for the best…
