Game Firewatch has now spread around the world sold almost a million copies.
Favored by critics and players “simulator walk” Firewatch became a commercial hit almost immediately after release. Apparently, all-round success of the game and attracted a production company, Good Universe, which is now collaborating with the developers from the Studio Campo Santo.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, both teams are going to film Firewatch. “When we met with the wonderful Universe, we were amazed at the way they recognize, develop and produce amazing stories. Very rarely you may come across a group that shares so many of your valuables and makes the creative process even more exciting. We can’t wait to see what we can achieve together” — happily broadcasts one of the founders of Campo Santo Sean Vanaman (Sean Vanaman).
But companies aren’t going to be limited to only one adaptation of Firewatch. Campo Santo, and Good Universe want to create projects that “bridge” between the worlds of video games and feature films.
Good Universe, if you believe IMDB, participated in the production of such films as “Oldboy” 2013 year, “StarПерцы”, “Hello, dad, New year’s” and “don’t breathe”.
