Film festival “we Will live!”-2016 summed up

Completed its fifth national film festival “Will to live” being one of the most significant events of the Year of Russian cinema. The show ran for almost 90 of the capital’s cinemas, and this week it was shown about 150 Russian Prime Minister as well-known Directors and newcomers.

The ceremonial announcement of winners of the festival was held in cinema House. The jury in the nomination “full-length Feature films in this year included film Director Alexander Shirvindt, artist Nikas Safronov, actress Anastasia Zavorotnyuk, producer Sergey Zernov, the operator Igor Klebanov, and the Deputy chief editor of the newspaper “Moskovsky Komsomolets” Peter Spector.

The prize of the President of the jury went to Alena Davydova for the film “Ivan”. Third place was given to Ilya Teacher (“Lights”), the second – Kseniya Baskakova (“Bird”), and first Alexander Tyutryumov (“Temptation”). The winner in the category “Best female role” was Evdokia Malewska (“Bird”) and best male role, according to the jury, was played by Gosha Kutsenko in the movie “the Doctor”. The best operator was recognized as Eugene, the appellants, who directed the motion picture “the Doctor”.

Special diplomas were also awarded to the producers of the film “Teli and Toli”, dir. Alexander Amirov (“the development of genre cinema”) and the producers of the film “Golden fish”, dir. Aleksandr Galibin (“For a disclosure of the most important life-affirming themes”).

The day before, September 1, was handed out awards to short films. In the category “drama” winner was the film “Live” (dir. Elena Piskareva), in the category of “Genre cinema” – “Well, Hello, Oksana Sokolova” (dir. Kirill Vasiliev, in the category of “auteur cinema” – “Firefly” (dir. Natalia Nazarova), and in the category “Experimental film” – “Neon” (dir. Faith Wodynski).
