73rd Venice film festival held on Lido island, begins its work: this year, among the twenty films in the main competition, there is one picture from Russia – “Paradise” by Andrei Konchalovsky. This year the jury was headed by Director Sam Mendes, and in the Commission there are stars like Chiara Mastroianni, Gemma Anderson and Nina Hoss.

The opening film of the Venice film festival this year will be the musical romance “La La Land” Damien Chazelle, where the main role was played by Ryan Gosling and Emma stone. The program includes paintings by such recognized masters of cinema like françois Ozon, Emir Kusturica, Terrence Malick, WIM Wenders. Also on the show will be presented the second film of designer Tom Ford.

Special attention is given to the film “Paradise”, directed by Andrei Konchalovsky. The tape, which will also qualify for the “Golden lion”, was filmed by an international team and tells the story of a Russian emigrant, aristocrat and member of the French Resistance Olga (this role is played by Yuliya Vysotskaya), a French collaborator of Jules and German Helmut, a high-ranking SS officer.
