Doctors have come up with a novel way of lowering blood glucose

Experts analyzed data from 25 studies conducted in different countries. The analysis showed that yoga is beneficial for adults with type 2 diabetes. It normalizes the level of lipids in the blood, helps maintain normal weight and glucose levels.

It is also likely that yoga reduces the level of oxidative stress, blood pressure, positive effect on lung function, the autonomic nervous system, sleep and quality of life. And regular yoga classes allow people with type 2 diabetes less likely to take medication. However, experts emphasize that further research is needed. While yoga can’t replace aerobic exercise of moderate intensity recommended for diabetics.

Another study conducted at UCLA, showed that yoga and meditation are good for the brain. They improve memory and protect against dementia. According to scientists, yoga and meditation proved more effective than exercise for training the memory.
