Doctors have discovered five new genetic causes of bowel cancer.
In the new study scientists have discovered five previously unknown genes, which mutations can cause colon cancer.
Professionals require further study, as the proportion of cases of new genomes that are attributable to the disease were very small. British scientists from the Institute of cancer research in London, published the preliminary results of their scientific work.
Among one of the thousands of volunteers with the disease of colon cancer, the researchers conducted a thorough study of all the genes completely. In the end, was discovered five previously unknown genomes, which after the process of mutation affecting the occurrence of cancer, in a very low proportion of cases.
Scientists have indicated that they need more time for further study and confirmation of this connection because of the very small percentage of mutations in the total number of participants. Relative to family predisposition to the disease, scientists have noted that in only 15-31% of cases was similar related disease.
The bulk of bowel cancer have arisen as a result of environmental pollution and some other factors that influence DNA. A study published in the journal Nature Communications yesterday, June 22.
