Maybe Half-Life VR will be a spin-off series.
All available information on the new part of Half-Life, which will work in virtual reality (VR), bloggers, Valve News Network put together in one video.
In the game code Destinations created for VR on the Source 2 engine enthusiasts found several references to Half-Life VR.
It detected the string “Forces the player HLVR to speak.” It aroused great interest among the authors of the movie. Perhaps HLVR will be a spin-off series, as the protagonist of the original Half-Life Gordon Freeman doesn’t speak.
It was already known that Valve are experimenting with VR and ported existing assets from Half-Life.
The developers have not confirmed work on the project.
“We have too little time, so we don’t say “no”, but we don’t know yet how to do that.”
Last year in the Internet appeared the information of an anonymous source according to which Valve is not going to release Half-Life 3 because of financial impropriety.
Meanwhile, another source claims that he worked as a games tester Valve, in August said that the release date of Half-Life 3 is scheduled for late 2017 or early 2018, despite the fact that the game is not in active development.
