British media have traveled to the camouflaged prototypes Skoda Kodiaq.
Great Kodiaq Skoda SUV will be offered with five engines, optional all-wheel drive and seven seats. About it writes the edition Autocar, the journalists who visited the camouflaged test prototypes of the model.
The SUV is built on a modular platform MQB. The range of engines will include 1.4-liter TSI petrol engine with a capacity of 125 and 150 horsepower, 180-strong “Quartet” of 2.0, as well as two two-liter diesel unit developing 150 and 190 forces. The engines will be paired with six-speed “mechanics” and dedicated six “robot” DSG with two clutches.
Subsequently, the model will be equipped with hybrid power plant. However, it will be no earlier than 2019.
“In the database” Skoda Kodiaq will be front-wheel drive five-seater. Cars with third row seats boot capacity with the seats raised will be 270 liters.
The SUV will also get adaptive suspension, Dynamic Chassis Control with three modes (Normal, Comfort and Sport), as, for example, Superb, and special off-road mode for versions with all-wheel drive, which changes the settings of the power plant, ABS and stabilization system for off-road driving.
Design Kodiaq will be declassified in August. The public debut of the SUV will take place in autumn at the Paris motor show.
