Skoda Kodiaq got a number of options that were not previously available on other models of the Czech brand.
The company Skoda at a special event in Berlin presented the new seven-seat crossover — Kodiaq. Photos and technical specs media started to publish long before the premiere, but officially the car was declassified only now.
The novelty is built on a modular platform MQB. Overall length of the SUV is 4697 mm, width — 1882 mm, height is 1676 mm. The wheelbase is 2791 millimeters. Curb weight ranges from 1452 to 1540 pounds, depending on engine and drive type.
The boot capacity of Skoda Kodiaq is 720 litres, and when retracted the seats in the back row — 2065 litres. Standard equipment includes a longitudinally adjustable second-row seats with adjustable backrests, a third row of seats is offered as an option.
In the range of engines includes five turbo engine. The choice offered two-liter diesel engines capacity of 150 or 190 horsepower and petrol unit of 1.4, issuing 150 HP and is equipped with a system for deactivating two cylinders under low loads. In addition, the available two-liter gasoline engine capacity of 180 horsepower.
Transmission — six-speed “mechanics”, six – and seven-step “robots” DSG. By default, the crossover is a front wheel drive, all-wheel drive will be available for more expensive versions. Paired with a seven-step “robot” top 190-horsepower diesel four-wheel drive crossover accelerates from zero to hundred kilometers per hour in 8.6 seconds. The maximum speed is 210 kilometers per hour.
The list of equipment included multimedia system with 6.5-inch display (for the more expensive versions will be offered 8 inch screen) support file transfer via Bluetooth, and it also works with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink, DCC adaptive dampers, electronic driver assistance systems, the system of the circular review, adaptive interior lighting, wireless charging for your smartphone.
In addition, for the first time at the “Skoda” came the help system when reversing with a trailer: the machine will automatically brake if the Parking sensors detects an object.
Skoda Kodiaq public premiere will be held in October at the Paris motor show.
