Skoda Kodiaq noticed without camouflage.
New crossover Skoda Kodiaq was spotted on public roads in the Czech Republic.
The pictures, which the car filmed without camouflage have been posted on the page of the edition Magazin ProDriver CZ in Facebook.
Externally, the novelty will repeat the concept VisionS, which was shown at the Geneva motor show in March 2016. The crossover will get led optics, a spoiler, a radiator grille, massive air intake protection system and doors with plastic covers.
According to the publication, the length of the new crossover will be 4.7 meters. Trunk volume is equal to 2 065 l, which will make the SUV one of the most spacious in its class.
The five-door Skoda Kodiaq built on a modified MQB platform – the same architecture as the Volkswagen Tiguan the second generation. The crossover will be available with five engines: three petrol and two diesel. In the basic version front-wheel-drive SUV will receive the unit is the 1.4 TSI (125 HP) and a six-speed “mechanics”. In the more expensive versions Kodiaq all-wheel drive will be equipped with 1.4-liter supercharged engine (150 HP) and DSG6. The top petrol engine – a 2.0-liter “turboservice” capacity of 180 HP, which works only with robotic gearbox DSG7.
The initial diesel version (front or rear wheel drive) will get 2.0-liter (150 HP) paired with DSG7. This same engine will be available with a different firmware (190 HP), but will feature only four-wheel drive transmission.
The car will be equipped with a new infotainment system developed on the basis of technology MIB Volkswagen Group. The top multimedia system Amundsen and Columbus offers included with your wireless router. As an option the Columbus system can be equipped with a function of high-speed Internet (LTE). Platform SmartLink, compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, MirrorLinkTM and SmartGate are available as options for the infotainment system Swing included in the basic package.
The driver will be available the new camera Area View, which allows you to see the screen of the monitor surrounding space and blind spots, the function of pedestrian protection, the assistant control distance when Parking with the function of active brake, the hold function is in a lane assistance system when Parking and a Tow Assist system that will facilitate maneuvering a vehicle with a trailer when reversing.
According to the press service of the Czech brand, the official premiere of the car will take place at the event in Berlin on 1 September. After that, the novelty will be shown at the motor show in Paris in October 2016. The company also published its first official teaser image in which novelty is shown without camouflage.
