Debts of Russians on the credits at the end of fourth quarter 2015 and first quarter 2016 increased by 27.13%, according to the National Bureau of credit histories. For the period recorded growth of debt load for all without an exception of categories of borrowers.

The lion’s share in the total mass of borrowers were citizens whose income is medium (20 to 40 thousand roubles a month), or large (more than 40 thousand rubles a month). In this segment, rising debt burden made up 5.53% and 5.38%. Citizens with the lowest incomes (less than 20 thousand rubles per month) recorded the lowest growth of the debt burden is only 1.27 per cent.

Banks have shown a cool attitude towards borrowers with low income, as this category refers to loans high risk. That’s why this category of borrowers, there is no significant growth of the debt burden when the gravity of the current situation in the economy.

Still the country has a high level of arrears, particularly noticeable in the retail credit market. The decline in real incomes leads to further growth of “delay”. Already concluded with the banks the credit agreement to pay in time citizens with low incomes harder.
