It is planned to conduct the first experiment on implementation of quantum teleportation over a distance of more than 1.2 thousand kilometers.
The launch will be carried out by the carrier rocket Long March 2D with the largest spaceport in the country Jiuquan, located in the Autonomous region of Inner Mongolia. Via satellite, the researchers plan to conduct a series of quantum experiments.
One of the most ambitious among them is the experience in the implementation of quantum teleportation between the earth and the cosmos to a distance of more than 1.2 thousand kilometers of the stations in Delinha and in Lijiang (Nanshan). With this aim we constructed a land line with a length of about thousands of kilometers.
In the first stage of experiments, the scientists intend to test the reliability of cryptographic communication between Beijing and Vienna, a mediator involving the near-earth satellite. In the second stage scientists via satellite will carry out quantum teleportation of photons between stations in Delinha and in Lijiang (Nanshan). The distance between these points exceeds 1.2 thousand kilometers.
In the plans of the Chinese scientists includes experiments on the transmission of signals between the Moon and Earth. The tested technology is applicable for data protection and in the interests of the military. Earlier, China had planned the launch for June 2016.
