Brent oil prices rose to $47 per barrel

Нефть Brent подорожала до $47 за баррель

The price of Brent crude climbs above $47 per barrel for the first time from November 2015.

As at 22.12 Moscow time quotations of July futures on Brent has grown on 3,03% — to $to 47.17 per barrel.

The rise in oil prices was provoked by the decision of Committee on open markets FRS of the USA (FOMC) to leave its key interest rate unchanged at 0,25–0,5%.

In a press release, the fed notes that the regulator is willing to hold a bet at the minimum value depending on the economic Outlook.

The rate is likely to remain for some time below the level that is expected to prevail in the long run.

According to experts, the wording in the press release suggests that the fed is not ready to move to an active tightening of monetary policy out of fear to disrupt the process of economic recovery.
