A long-term contract to provide services for transshipment of petroleum products and liquefied natural gas signed Klaipedos Nafta and Belarusian oil company.
According to the report of Klaipedos Nafta, the 72,32% of the stock of which is owned by the state, both sides expressed interest to extend cooperation for a longer period – within three years, with the possibility of prolongation for another two years. The agreement shall enter into force from November 1, through the terminal will be carried out the shipment of products of the two refineries – Mozyr oil refinery and Naftan.
A long-term agreement between the Belarusian and Lithuanian companies signed on the background to provide “the Russian Railways” (RZD) 25% discount for the Belarusian shippers for transit of oil products from the stations Barbaro and Novopolotsk in the ports in North-West Russia.
In this way the Russians hoped to reorient the flows of Belarusian export goods, mainly petroleum products from the Baltic ports to Russian ports. Railways spread reduction factor of 0.75 (a 25% discount) for the transportation of gasoline, diesel and fuel oil from the Belarusian of the Belarusian railway stations in the direction of the port stations of the North-West of Russia. The discount is valid until 31 December 2018.
