This was stated today by the Minister of agriculture and food of Belarus Leonid Zayats during the College authorities, BelTA reports.
“Tools to reduce production costs are, you only need to use them properly. In all districts, agricultural organizations, organizations of processing in the near future should be the roadmap for reducing the cost of production and take appropriate decision for their implementation”, – said the Minister.
According to Leonid Zayats, such tools could include the optimization of the forage base (for example, the transition from corn to legume-oat mixture), the elimination of the chronically inefficient crops, strict compliance with all the requirements for growing cattle, avoiding excess number of workers on farms. The Minister noted that shortcomings in agriculture lead to losses in the processing industry.
