German publication “Auto Motor und Sport”, citing its own sources reported that the leadership of the German company Volkswagen has set a date for the debut of the new crossover Polo.
According to the newspaper, this event should take place a year after the launch of the sixth generation sedan Polo, which will be held in March next year at the International motor show in Geneva.
It is expected that the appearance of a novelty will be something average between the concept car T-Cross, which premiered a few months ago at the International motor show in Geneva and serial Tiguan. However, unlike the latter, the new Polo is much more aggressive due to the massive blocks of fog lights and metal plates under the bumper, like the T-Cross.
Novelty, as a new generation of the Polo sedan for the European market will be built on a modular platform MQB. Motor gamma of the future crossover will likely be presented with a basic 3-cylinder turbocharged engine with a working volume of 1.0 liter, liter-unit and 4-cylinder two-liter turbo engine for the modification of the GTI. In this case, the diesel version of the crossover will likely not appear.
According to preliminary estimates, the new German crossover will cost from 15 thousand euros.
