The object rotates around the Sun in the opposite other celestial bodies side.
Astronomers have discovered a strange TRANS-Neptunian object, i.e. an object that is located beyond the orbit of Neptune.
As reported by New Scientist, the object rotates on the plane of the Solar system and continues to rise.
The diameter of the unusual object, which was called nick, is less than 200 kilometers. The plane of rotation is inclined to the plane of the Solar system at 110 degrees. Moreover, nick is rotated in reverse to other side objects.
The researchers note that the planetary system was formed from a flat cloud of gas and dust around the star. This means that any object that is above the plane of the planetary system or rotates in the opposite direction, was knocked off course any outside force.
