The US patent office gave the nod to the creation of another slot for a SIM card in the iPhone.
This means that from now on the new flagship Apple will be able to work simultaneously with two SIM-cards.
However, it is not yet clear what devices will be innovation, as the pending release of the iPhone 7 is likely not a concern. Such an extension requires some additional technical equipment. In particular, there is a need for additional antennas and receivers, in addition will need yet another radio. Apparently, the company will have to resort to increasing the size of their smartphones, as in previous models for this simply wasn’t the space.
Dual SIM Dual Active (DSDA), which will be used in the iPhone, allows user to use simultaneously two independent from each other SIM-cards simultaneously. With each card individually, it is possible to make calls or use mobile Internet services.
