Found “death” vulnerability in Telegram.
Experts in the field of security has discovered a vulnerability in the messenger Telegram, which allows sending a single message to “kill” a smartphone companion.
Experts have established that the limitation of the transmitted messages in the messenger (at least 1 byte and no more than 4096 bytes) can be circumvented. Experts were able to circumvent it and, accordingly, send messages many times more.
In the experiment, the message was sent with a length of 30 KB, after which the smartphone to which it came, hovered.
Vulnerability is also dangerous because messages can send to any users, regardless of, they are added to your address book or not.
The lag of mobile is because the RAM is filling up quickly, which prevents normal device operation. Experts who discovered the hole, reported it to the administration Telegram.
