A us Senator has demanded from Facebook to respond to accusations of censorship

Американский сенатор потребовал от Facebook ответить на обвинения в цензуре

U.S. Senator John Thune declared that the General Director of Facebook mark Zuckerberg must answer a number of questions arising from the recent media claims about the allegedly existing company practice of censorship and political bias in the moderation of messages in the social network, reports RIA Novosti.

The Senator stressed that the head of the social network needs to answer these serious allegations and to bring those responsible to justice, if the spread of popular news stories had a political bias.

According to him, any attempt of censorship or manipulation of political debate by neutral and inclusive social networks undermines trust and is incompatible with the values of an open Internet.

We will remind that earlier a number of former Facebook employees reported what they were told to artificially “inject” a special message in the block “top stories” even if these messages were not popular or did not arouse user interest.
