The cost of October futures for North sea oil mixture Brent grew by 1.01%, September futures for WTI crude oil became cheaper by 0.91%, according to the auction.
As at 06.56 GMT the price of Brent declined to 44.93 per barrel; on Monday, the cost benchmark for the first time since July 25 has risen above the psychological mark of $ 45 per barrel.
Futures of WTI became cheaper to 42.63 per barrel, reports “Prime”.
The President of OPEC said Monday that the cartel countries are planning to hold an informal meeting on the sidelines of the 15 th International energy forum in Algeria, which will be held from 26 to 28 September.
He noted that OPEC continues to monitor closely the situation on the market of “black gold” and engage in dialogue with all member countries of cartel on ways to restore stability in the oil market.
In addition, the President of OPEC said that the organization expects world oil demand in the third and fourth quarters, which will have a positive impact on prices. He stressed that the recent decline in oil prices and the current volatility of the market were only temporary.
