It’s been six months after the World anti-doping Agency (WADA) has accused the Russian athletes to use doping means. Most of them, as revealed recently, was not admitted to the Olympic games in 2016. The hearing on this matter went so far that even “clean” athletes have come under a wave of dismissal.
Of course, many politicians, analysts and sports commentators have noticed the fact that the Russian team simply “merge” with the Olympics in Rio. But, unfortunately, to prove it was impossible. WADA and the IOC are so carefully thought through all the details that to get to the truth was very difficult. However, some people still managed to catch World anti-doping Agency in the manipulation of data.
That someone turned out to be the largest Australian newspaper The Australian. The authors of the newspaper report that WADA under the leadership of Richard McLaren was included in the document the names of the athletes against whom there were no specific allegations of use of illegal drugs.
As it turned out, the doping of the sample Russians, which was discussed in the report have been divided into several categories (if to speak more precisely, there were four of them), and one of them was “completely frivolous”.
It turns out that no details about the existing categories of sports officials who had to make a decision on the Russian athletes was provided. And it is a serious mistake “independent” agencies.
Although, frankly, the word “independent” is certainly not well with the world anti-doping Agency. Instead of working honestly and to allow for scale competitions clean athletes, WADA decided to play political games and tuned to achieve complete suspension of the Russian team.
According to some members of the International Olympic Committee, the sensational report of the WADA had a single goal — to remove all the Russian national team from the Olympics in Rio in a short time. However, the good news that they could not achieve, and part of athletes from Russia will still defend the honor of our country on such important and serious international competitions.
Moreover, we should not forget that the final decision on admission of Russia to the Olympic games of 2016 will take a special Commission of the IOC. Who knows, maybe it was after this article in The Australian sports officials will decide the fate of the Russians and give them a chance to prove themselves in Rio de Janeiro?
