The premiere of the prototype of the new Volvo will be held may 18 at the headquarters of the brand in the Swedish city of Gothenburg.
Volvo has published a new teaser of the concept car, which will be the harbinger of a compact crossover XC40 and V40 hatchback next generation. Image of a tail light and a hybrid power-plant of the car appeared in the social network Snapchat.
At the end of last week the manufacturer revealed the other teasers, which depicted headlamp with signature T-shaped led running lights, as well as elements of front bumper and rear view mirrors.
The novelty will be built on a modular platform CMA, created in conjunction with the Chinese company Geely. She will serve as the basis for a whole family of platform compact models, where, along with a new crossover and a hatchback “40 series” will also include a sedan and wagon.
In addition to the hybrid powertrain shown in the teaser in the line units will also include three – and four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines.
